Meeting up with Ivan at the Ohope Clinic was the best thing I could have ever done, he has changed the way I look at life in so many ways, why live and focus your life on all the negative things, when you can live a much better and more amazing life when you focus on the positive.
Well before I met Ivan I had a sad and negative life, always getting upset over stupid little things just because of how I let the things from the past effect me. -- I gave up on life,
I thought I could never be happy again I blamed myself for everything and I let all my hopes and dreams fly away.
My visit to the Ohope Clinic was so amazing, I walked out the door and all the pain was gone. It was like the traumatic feelings had been blocked out but the memories were still there. All of the hurt and pain I had felt since 2008 were gone it was unbelievable.
Since mid 2008 my relationship with my family had been so bad I would cry myself to sleep at night and just wish things would go back to normal, then a couple of weeks after seeing Ivan my brother turned around to me and said you’ve changed aye sis, I’m actually proud to call you my sister again, and I was so happy it brought tears to my eyes, and just a few weeks back mum said to me I’m glad we have a good relationship now.
Just hearing that come from my family makes me so happy I just wish I had of met Ivan a lot sooner.
Since seeing Ivan I am so much more positive, I think before I say and do things I take pride in what I do I look at myself in a different way, And this is how I look at life...I’m now a bubbly teenage girl who has her whole life ahead of her so make it a good one and achieve everything possible keep trying and never give up no matter how much you may want to because if you want it hard enough you will achieve it, I have now decided to get my NCEA level 2 then go for my degree in early childhood I am so thankful for how Ivan at the Ohope Clinic has changed my life around from being so negative to be back to the bubbly positive girl I am today. -- name withheld

To the Ohope Clinic and Ivan Judd
Initially I was sceptical about my daughters visit to Mr. Ivan Judd at The Ohope Clinic, though hopeful of a positive outcome. My daughter had endured two long years of counselling with no real change..
My daughter had been through a major trauma in her life and was trying to climb from a deep black hole that the trauma had left her in. As a mother you try every avenue possible to help your child. I wanted my daughter, my friend back and I wasn’t giving in. I was at breaking point with her...do I just give up now? Abandon her and let her sort it out herself? Friends advised to try the tough love method...but I couldn’t put her through that or myself!
Ok anti depressants! I booked the appointment with the doctors but I didn’t want my daughter to start on the road of this kind of medication at eighteen years of age. The day of the appointment I decided to try Ivan Judd from The Ohope Clinic.
I’m a single parent and finances are by no means great but weighing up doctor’s bills and prescriptions I saw a session with The Clinic as being very affordable.
I myself am a positive person and view positive thinking as a valuable tool to carry throughout life. I, as a mother couldn’t get this across to my daughter...but Ivan most certainly did! The first words that came from her after the first session were...forget the past...let’s look to the future! My heart felt like it had missed a beat...was this my daughter speaking?
She has been back for another visit since but that was a couple of months ago now! I now feel I have my daughter back, my friend. There were so many times I never thought I would have a loving relationship with my only daughter...but that just isn’t the case anymore. We talk, we laugh, we plan, we shop and we like each other again.
