Hypnotherapy
Clinical hypnotherapy utilises hypnosis as the main therapeutic treatment. Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness / awareness in which your sub-conscious mind becomes receptive to positive changes and new ways of addressing issues in your life. The treatment includes natural deep states of relaxation which are both therapeutic and rejuvenating.

Hypnotherapy uses the power of the mind to help heal physical as well as emotional problems. It helps the patient discover the underlying emotional and psychological causes to their ailments. It differs from hypnosis in that there is more interaction between the patient and the therapist in hypnotherapy, allowing the patient to discover more about the emotional background to his or her current problems.

Clinical hypnotherapy may be used for the effective treatment of psychological and physical problems. Each problem is treated on an individual basis and the therapy is tailored towards your particular needs.

Common Questions about Hypnosis:

Am I asleep or unconscious when in a hypnotic trance?
It’s easy to see how one can jump to this conclusion. In entertainment shows and movies you often hear the hypnotist say ‘you are feeling sleepy’ and then clicks his fingers, and command sleep. The subject closes their eyes and rolls their head forward. In fact, to make matters worse, Hypnosis is a bit of a misnomer and derived from the Greek word ‘Hypnos’, which means sleep. Actually, when in hypnotic trance you are fully alert and aware of what is going on around you, you can even enter trance with your eyes open.

What is a hypnotic trance?
It is a normal and natural state that most of us experience several times a day. It commonly happens when people are driving. Have you ever driven somewhere and not really remembered the journey? It also often occurs when reading a book or watching TV. Sometimes you can be so absorbed in the book or TV programme that you are not consciously aware that someone is talking to you. Hypnosis is the focussing of the conscious attention in such a narrow corridor of influence. The conscious mind is so intensely focussed that other influences are not being critically analysed by the conscious mind. We still hear them, although we are not always aware. A good example of this is when you are in a place where there are several conversations going on at once. They may all sound like a mass of background noise. However if someone in one of those conversations mentions your name, you then consciously focus on that conversation. How did you know someone said your name? Your subconscious mind (which is far more powerful than your conscious mind) was listening to EVERY conversation AT THE SAME TIME! That is perhaps a reason why you can sometimes “just know” something. Your subconscious mind has absorbed it without you consciously being aware.

Does the Hypnotherapist have full control of me?
The hypnotist can not make you do anything against your will. Despite what you may have seen on entertainment shows. There is always a part of you looking out for your well-being and if the hypnotist makes a suggestion that goes against your moral fibre you will instantly reject it and snap out of hypnosis.

Will I give away my deepest, dark secrets?
You could never be made to do anything against your will or contrary to your value system. If this was actually possible, would there not be criminals learning the art of hypnotherapy in order to hypnotise their bank managers to opening the vaults and handing over a large sum of cash?! In a trance, you would not unknowingly reveal your deepest secrets.  A person will only act upon suggestions that serve them in some way or reinforce an expected behaviour, anything else their subconscious will just ignore.
You are in control during a hypnotherapy session, it is you who chooses what it is you wish to reveal. The hypnotherapist will not try to coax the truth out of you, and when seeing a qualified hypnotherapist anything you choose to reveal will be strictly confidential

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
No, Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we dip in and out of everyday. In an emergency, your body will naturally snap out of the hypnotic state.

I’m too strong minded to be hypnotised.
Most people can be hypnotised, regardless of age or intelligence. It is a naturally occurring phenomenon we each go into hypnosis numerous times during the day. As long as you are comfortable, willing and able to concentrate, you will find yourself easily entering trance.
Can I be hypnotized?      Most people can go into a hypnotic trance. The only types of people that cannot be hypnotised are…
1. Those suffering from psychosis or a thought disorder
2. A person with a low IQ
3. A person does not want to be hypnotised. It is very easy to resist hypnosis if you want to.

Is there a hypnotised feeling?
There is no specific hypnotised feeling. Some people feel like they are daydreaming, others feel heavy, some light, the most common of which is usually a deeply, comfortable relaxed state, depending on the method used by the hypnotherapist.

Is Hypnosis dangerous?
A hypnotic trance is actually a very natural state that almost everyone goes into several times per day.
Hypnotherapy has a rich and long standing history. It was approved by the British Medical Association 40 years ago.  Research shows it is a very safe form of therapy. In 1955 the British Medical Association set up an inquiry which favourably reported hypnosis as a therapeutic tool. It even recommended that it should be taught at medical schools. Hypnosis was also approved by the Council of Mental Health of the American Medical Association in September of 1958 as a safe practice with no harmful side effects. Since then there has been acceleration in the establishment of hypnosis societies for doctors, dentists, and psychologists. No one has been seriously hurt with hypnosis.

 How does it work?
There is no doubt that our minds and bodies work together, when one is under stress, the other suffers. We have all experienced it - blushing when embarrassed, going pale with shock, having sweaty palms when nervous. These are just small instances of the way in which our minds can affect our bodies. Medical literature is now full of studies confirming that many diseases are psycho-somatic (caused in the mind) or stress-related. Some doctors have estimated that as much as 75% of modern disorders are actually induced through stress. Fortunately, the power of the mind has also been shown to be a primary factor in healing many diseases, even cancer. It is therefore important in any physical or emotional health problem not to overlook hypnotherapy on the road back to health.

Research has proven that the body chemistry can change in trance states, for example a girl who was unable to hold her hand in icy water for more than 30 seconds in normal consciousness was able to do so for 30 minutes under hypnosis with no change in blood cortisol levels. In another experiment, a man was told that the pencil he was holding was burning his hand and, being in a trance state, he dropped it. Afterwards he recalled being aware that he was only holding a pencil but he definitely felt the heat!

The debate rages on as to why phenomena like these occur, with some experts saying that the trancelike state allows us to suspend normal logic and allow ourselves to accept illogical suggestion. However, it is still unknown whether the changes that are experienced under hypnosis are real or imagined.

What does a hypnotherapy treatment involve?
A Hypnotherapist will attempt to find out as much about the client and their problem as possible during the first visit to try and establish the relevant psychological factors and the appropriate mode of treatment.
In hypnotherapy you will be relaxed in a comfortable chair or couch and by talking in a firm but monotonous voice, the therapist will put you into a hypnotic state - neither asleep nor awake. You will be asked to relax your body by breathing deeply and slowly. The therapist will then try to extract information from your subconscious mind in order to find the cause of your problem, possibly by taking you back to your childhood for your earliest memories. Suggestions may be made to your subconscious which will be related to your problem. At the end of the session you will be brought out of the hypnotic state feeling calm, relaxed and re-energised.
Hypnotherapists state that the subconscious will only accept commands that do not conflict with the natural instinct for self-preservation and will therefore not allow the patient to become an object of exploitation by an unprincipled therapist. However,
due to the very intimate nature of hypnotherapy, it is extremely important to the success of the treatment that you carefully select the therapist in order to establish a trusting rapport, and to be absolutely certain that the hypnotherapist's first priority is the patient's welfare.

Bioresonance / Wavemaker Therapy

Picture
The bioresonance work we do is using WaveMaker™ technologies. This process is life changing. The focus here is about removing unwanted energy patterns stored in our body as unwanted habits, beliefs and conditioning that keep us trapped in a ‘not- self’ theme, preventing us from living our lives from our ‘true-self’ or from a place of wholeness.

The WaveMaker is one of the new innovative Human Software Engineering technologies. The WaveMaker has been designed especially for use by coaches and energy psychologists and therapists.

WaveMaker™ Coaching is a revolutionary way of finding and fixing the underlying causes of problems in human life. It is an extraordinary coaching method because it uses the Wavemaker™ technology combined with the insights of Human Software Engineering™.

WaveMaker Coaches use a special bio-energetic testing technique called muscle-testing, or Kinesiology, to guide the process of finding the real underlying causes of the problem. Pinpointing the nature of the inner conflicts is done using an extraordinary set of insights called The 12 Core Dynamics of Common Problems™. The Core Dynamics model provides a powerful roadmap for identifying our fears, needs, and habits and finally, for the first time, makes it easy to identify and resolve inner conflicts.

Who Can Benefit from WaveMaker Therapy?
Thousands of people throughout the world—young and old—have already benefited from the technology used with the WaveMaker. Now that its application has been broadened to incorporate coaching, more and more people around the world are experiencing its amazingly positive results.

How it works
The WaveMaker picks up and processes the ultra-fine electromagnetic oscillations of everything in the body. It can either invert them to cancel out unwanted resonances or amplify them to strengthen and optimize desirable resonances. It can invert the energy/information patterns of conditioning, habits, traumas, negative emotional states, stress, etc.

Using theWaveMaker with the basic Human Software Engineering Protocol and the Core Dynamics of Common Problems™ model, people trained in WaveMaker Coaching are finding success in helping people debug and upgrade their inner human software and resolve the foundation of their inner conflicts. Resolving the basis of people's inner conflicts is universally applicable and has been found very helpful to practitioners in these and other professions. One of the most important applications of the WaveMaker is removing the barriers to living and enjoying the life you really want to live. Problems with health, relationships, money, career, sense of purpose, fulfilling our desires, sales, business, parenting, etc. all have their basis in inner conflicts. These are the "bugs" in our inner human software! The patterns of energy and information that hold our inner conflicts in place are what we "debug" with Human Software Engineering.
